CAMEO: Clay Arts Museum and Education Organization of Houston Texas sponsors exhibits of emerging artists, workshops and demonstrations. Our goals are to promote TEXAS emerging artists and exhibits for those wanting to “get their hands in clay”.

Summer has arrived and with it the eagerly awaited
7th Annual CAMEO Emerging Artists Show!
JUNE 22- JULY 7

This exciting exhibit will be on display at 18 Hands Gallery on West 19th Street in The Heights.

Individual educational institutions may promote the work of their own students, but only CAMEO collectively showcases the work of Texas college and university students. Besides giving these emerging artists an opportunity to introduce their work to the public, CAMEO also strives to acquaint them with the educational aspects of an exhibit, such as becoming familiar with the professional exhibit and sales process, the shipping and return shipping procedure, the staging of a successful opening reception, and the enlightening interaction with art afficionados and potential buyers.

Over 60 entrants and their instructors are submitting over 130 ceramic pieces for this show. Don’t miss your chance to view these new clay creations and meet the inspired and inspiring student artists who created them!
